Rockland Men’s Ministry

The vision of Rockland Men’s Ministry is to intentionally draw our men closer to Jesus Christ and to each other.

The purpose of Rockland Men’s Ministry is to provide a transformational environment in which a man can:

  • Accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior
  • Learn how to convert Biblical truth into action.
  • Serve & honor his commitment to Jesus Christ, family, church, friends, work, and community.
  • Identify, develop, and release a man’s unique gifts into a life and service of Jesus Christ and His church.
There are exciting things happening or continuing for the men this spring at RCC.  Just a few of them are listed below that are responsive to the Men’s Ministry vision and purpose stated above.
  1. Men’s Bible Study with Ken on Tuesday mornings at 7am will continue.  What great place to understand and get grounded in the word.
  2. More Small (5-6 men) Spiritual Formation/Discipleship groups will be formed this Spring.  Three groups formed last spring are continuing and moving on to the “The Ascent of a Leader” using the foundational structure of their first session together.  These groups focus on what God has done, is doing, and will do in our lives as we begin to practice modeling Christ-like behavior and attitudes to do what Christ tells us to do (John 15:14).  If interested, please call Harley Hunter – 303-674-8488 (w); 303-674-5930 (h).
  3. Men’s Fraternity - we are leveraging the proven success of this great program (www.mensfraternity.com) founded by Dr. Robert Lewis in 1990 which is now being presented to men all over the world due to its incredible appeal.

For our first year together, the topics included:

  • Seasons of a man’s life
  • Uncovering a man’s wound
  • Defining manhood
  • Deepening the marriage relationship
  • Raising sons and daughters
  • Developing a manhood plan
In a safe, non-threatening, non-preachy, non-churchy, masculine format and environment, the transforming power of men come together to honestly examine their life and take courageous steps necessary to embrace authentic manhood on a journey to become who God intends them to be.  When men connect in life changing ways, a powerful ripple effect touches marriages, families, work places and even the church.  Deeper connections with God and other men inspire participants to connect more meaningfully in all facets of their lives.  They climb beyond the walls of isolation and aspire to a biblical viewpoint marked by integrity, boldness, and compassion.  Through this powerful series, men learn how to reject passivity, accept responsibility, lead courageously and expect God’s greater reward.
